About the Workshop
Supervision is a core professional competency requiring specific training for the benefit of supervisees, clients, and the profession. New paradigms of service delivery require psychologists to assume supervisory roles for mental health technicians, paraprofessionals, and other frontline non-doctoral providers, in addition to pre-service and early career supervision.
This workshop presents a synthesis of best practices in clinical supervision within the Developmental, Ecological, Problem-solving (DEP) Supervision Model (Simon & Swerdlik, 2023; Simon, Swerdlik, & Cruise, 2027). Case examples and reflection exercises illustrate practical application for supervising pre-service trainees, early career and veteran psychologists, and associated personnel.
